Sisters, Brothers and Siblings, 

Violenece has no place in our political process. All people, regardless of background and political ideology, must condemn the cowardly act of political violence that occurred on Saturday at a Trump ally in Pennsylvania. 

I hope for a speedy recovery to former president Trump and the other victims of the shooting. My most sincere condolences to the family of the spectator who was senselessly murdered. 

The foundation of our democracy is a peaceful transfer of power. We make our choices by ballots, not bullets. 

Now is not the time to divide each other. We must come together in SOLIDARITY against violence and reaffirm our commitment to peaceful debate and respect for each other's views.
